Privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
Well & Able Fitness is run by Kaitlyn Bakker in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address and the message you write.
- Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include, such as your goals, schedule or phone number.
- If you become a client: health and fitness information you share so we can coach you safely, such as a health questionnaire, injuries, medications that affect exercise, and your progress. We treat this as sensitive and only collect what we need.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The only cookie on this site keeps Kaitlyn Bakker signed in to the private admin page; visitors never receive it.
Why we use it
To reply to you, set up a free consult, design and deliver your program, keep you safe while training, and handle billing. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect. We'll only email you about your coaching or your inquiry unless you ask to hear more.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (stores contact form messages), Resend (sends us a notification when a form is submitted), our email provider, and Stripe (payments). Some of these providers store information in the United States, so it may be subject to US law. We only share what each provider needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for up to two years, and client records for as long as you train with us plus the time we're required to keep them for tax, insurance or legal reasons. After that we delete them.
How we protect it
Access is limited to Kaitlyn Bakker, accounts are password-protected, and information is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach puts you at real risk of harm.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email kb@wellandablefitness.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with how we handle your concern, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Questions? Email kb@wellandablefitness.com.
